According to scientists, the number of corona deaths in the United States could exceed the 500,000 mark if almost all Americans are not wearing masks. “We are headed for a very big fall / winter wave,” said Chris Murray of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington about the latest estimate. The number of deaths could drop by 130,000 if 95 percent of the population wore mouth and nose protection. So far, 222,447 people in the United States have died with or as a result of coronavirus infection.
