A corona case at the Beijing customs authorities is delaying the Sinovac company’s first vaccine delivery to Turkey. The country had actually expected the first three million vaccination units on Monday, but according to Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, it will now have to be patient for a day or two. Reasons for this are, in addition to the corona disease among the customs officers, the renewed pandemic measures in the capital, said the minister. These restricted the customs officers’ freedom of movement. Turkey has ordered a total of 50 million vaccine doses from Sinovac. The country will initially purchase 4.5 million units from BioNTech and Pfizer, but has an option for 30 million more.
