Biontech boss Ugur Sahin is expecting the first data from the company’s decisive effectiveness study with its potential corona vaccine shortly. “We’ll definitely be smarter in two weeks,” said Sahin to the VRM media company. He expects the first data to be available in late October and early November. “It won’t be long now.” Then it will show whether the vaccine is able to protect. “We are optimistic.” In mid-November, if the data is positive, documents could be submitted to the US FDA for emergency approval.
