The Spanish police arrested two Germans near Málaga who were said to have been selling war weapons to drug dealers for years. One of the two men also discovered a kind of museum in which he kept numerous Nazi devotional items. The Spanish police found a large arsenal and numerous Nazi devotional objects in a blow against gunmen on the Costa del Sol. The leaders of the gang, who were two Germans and one British, had been arrested, the news agency Europa Press reported, citing the police. In cooperation with the Federal Criminal Police Office, it was found that one of the two Germans, who allegedly lived as a pensioner in Coín near Málaga, was wanted by an arrest warrant for an arms store near Hanover in Germany. According to the police, a „museum“ with Nazi uniforms, flags and other Nazi objects had been found on the other German, who had connections to right-wing extremist circles.

The three arrested are accused of forming a criminal organization, smuggling weapons, ammunition and drugs, and forging documents. The armory of the gang that supplied drug smugglers in southern Spain with weapons was unusually extensive. A total of 121 pistols, 22 assault rifles, 8 submachine guns, 9,976 rounds of ammunition of various calibres, eight silencers, 273 magazines and even a grenade with one and a half kilograms of explosives were confiscated, as Europa Press wrote. The gang bought up unusable war weapons in Eastern Europe and made them functional again in a secret workshop. The investigation began last year when more and more dangerous weapons were used in fighting between rival drug gangs in the region.
