The World Health Orga­ni­za­tion (WHO) sup­ports the search for herbal reme­dies against Covid-19 in Africa. Experts from WHO and two oth­er orga­ni­za­tions have “approved a phase 3 clin­i­cal tri­al pro­to­col for a herbal med­i­cine for Covid-19,” said the WHO in Braz­zav­ille, its region­al head­quar­ters in Africa. At the end of April, Madagascar’s gov­ern­ment pre­sent­ed a herbal drink based on mug­wort, which is said to have a pre­ven­tive and cura­tive effect against the nov­el coro­na virus. How­ev­er, there are con­sid­er­able doubts about the effec­tive­ness of the agent called “Covid Organ­ics”. It has not yet been inves­ti­gat­ed in any sci­en­tif­ic studies.
