Will Shedeur Sanders play in the Buffs’ regular-season finale at Utah on Saturday?

Coach Prime’s got an answer to that one: Tune in and find out.

“Sheduer’s not feeling well right now,” CU football coach Deion Sanders said of his son, the Buffs’ starting quarterback, who left last Friday’s 56-14 loss at Washington State in the first half with an undisclosed injury and didn’t return.

“Right now, it’s a day-to-day situation with Shedeur. We’re praying he’s healthy and is able to play, because he is who he is. And when he’s on the field, we have a tremendous chance to win.”

Sanders, a junior, completed six of 10 passes with a touchdown against the Cougars before leaving the game after his father said he couldn’t grip a football.

The CU signal-caller was sacked four times in the first quarter. Sanders’ program leads FBS in sacks allowed per game (4.91) heading into the final weekend of regular season.

The younger Sanders has already set the CU record for passing yards in a season (3,230) and is two touchdown passes away — he notched his 27th against the Cougars — from breaking the Buffs’ single-season mark of 28, set by Sefo Liufau in 2014.

CU takes a 4-7 mark into Utah (7-4), having dropped five straight games. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
