No injuries in Fort Lupton gas fire

No one was hurt when a gas com­pres­sor sta­tion in Fort Lup­ton caught fire ear­ly Sun­day morning.

The blaze start­ed around 4:50 a.m. at the West­ern Midstream’s DJ Tri-Town Com­pres­sor Sta­tion, a com­pa­ny spokes­woman said, and pre­lim­i­nary infor­ma­tion indi­cat­ed the fire was extin­guished by about 5:25 a.m.

No one was hurt dur­ing the inci­dent, which Fort Lup­ton Fire described on Twit­ter as an “explo­sion.” They report­ed it was ful­ly extin­guished by 6:45 a.m.

West­ern Mid­stream is con­duct­ing an inter­nal inves­ti­ga­tion to deter­mine the cause of the gas-fed fire, spokes­woman Kris­ten Shults said. The com­mu­ni­ty was not impact­ed by the fire at the sta­tion, which is at 8129 Coun­ty Road 21, she said.
